Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is pleased with the recent performances of Sam Byram, who has been a key part of the team's defensive solidity. Farke acknowledges Byram's impressive form but is cautious about playing him in every game, especially with Junior Firpo returning from injury.

Daniel Farke is delighted with the form of Sam Byram but says he is not “naive” to think the 31-year-old can play every single Leeds United game, admitting he is pleased to have Junior Firpo back for possible selection.

The manager explained: “Hopefully we try our best in order to keep him fit. I think he's on an impressive run of form, especially in terms of results when he was in the starting line up. I'm not sure if anyone has such a point average per game in the starting line up and so I'm pretty happy to have him.

Byram’s form has negated the need to rush Firpo back from injury, the left-back missing seven games over the festive period with a foot problem. He made his return against Harrogate Town in the FA Cup before returning to league action against Norwich City last week.
