A fire has broken out at a high-security psychiatric hospital, where some of the UK's most notorious criminals are held.
A spokesman for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We are attending a fire at a derelict building on the old Broadmoor Hospital site. The current hospital site is not affected. The high-security psychiatric hospital has held some of the UK's most notorious criminals. These include Charles Bronson, who previously lived in Ellesmere Port, and is one of the UK's longest serving prisoners, and Robert Maudsley, from Toxteth, who killed four men.
