Fire engines were pictured on the scene
A Glasgow city centre hotel was evacuated.
Crowds of people were gathered outside the Apex Hotel on Bath Street on Monday and fire engines were pictured at the scene. Four engines as well as specialist resources were called to the hotel at around 9.30am where a false alarm had been triggered.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said:"We were alerted at 9.27am on Monday, July 17 to reports of an automatic fire alarm actuating at a hotel in Bath Street in Glasgow.“On arrival, firefighters found that it was a false alarm and crews left the scene at around 9.40am.
