Scott McFadden, 38, from Port Glasgow, was a passenger in the Volkswagen Golf that struck a parked and unoccupied Peugeot car on Clune Brae. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 50-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment and subsequently arrested. She has been released pending further enquiries, police said. Sergeant Robert Mackie, of the Road Policing Unit in Dumbarton, said: "Our thoughts are with Scott McFadden's family and friends at this difficult time. Our enquiries into the full circumstances of this collision are ongoing.
