The family of Casey Goodson Jr. could receive a multi-million dollar settlement over three years after former sheriff's deputyMeade fatally shot Goodson in December of 2020. A grand jury later charged him with murder, but aearlier this year. Prosecutors are seeking to retry him in the fall after dropping one of two murder counts against him.
The Franklin County Board of Commissioners is set to vote on a $7 million settlement to that federal lawsuit Tuesday.
