Forecasters are predicting more warm temperatures after a scorching weekend in our region
Our region had one of the hottest days of the year so far on Friday as the mercury climbed to around 28C. Conditions then felt warm and muggy on Saturday and Sunday as temperatures remained fairly high.
Although it will not feel as hot as Friday, the Met Office predicts that it will largely continue to feel warm in our region this week. After a cloudy and damp start to today , some sunny spells are forecast for this afternoon with highs of 20C.Tomorrow highs of around 22C are expected with sunny intervals forecast during the afternoon. Wednesday will feel even warmer in Greater Manchester as the mercury reaches highs of 24C.
More cloudy and sunny intervals are expected. On the overall outlook for the North West for today, Met Office forecasters said: "A rather grey start with some patchy light rain. "Skies tending to brighten heading into this afternoon with some spells of sunshine developing. Breezy but feeling rather warm. Maximum temperature 20C."
For tomorrow in the North West, forecasters added: "A few morning showers then largely dry through the afternoon with sunny spells, these becoming increasingly frequent to end the day.Read more of today's top stories here
