Gabby Agbonlahor has revealed all about his Glasgow trip for Celtic's win over Rangers – and the nice little earner he pocketed.
He is no stranger to a derby during his playing days south of the border and he shared what he would be feeling if he was watching on as a Rangers fan. His trip, that he loved, also ending with a meeting with Scotland international and Villa captain John McGinn. He continued on the talkSPORT breakfast show: "I've watched a lot of Old Firm games and when you watch them you, you are like 'oh it could have went either way, it is close or there was tackles going in'. I am not one to go into someone, but I played in a lot of derby games and if I am a Rangers fans I am probably looking at it like 'they may be better than you, but put a tackle in. At least kick someone.
Agbonlahor revealed he had a flutter on the game and picked out a winner. He told co-host Shebahn Aherne that he backed a 3-0 win for the Hoops at 15/1 and netted a cool £150 from his bet. He joked that would be enough to buy one Aston Villa Champions League ticket with the pricing for their home games blasted by fans as 'out of touch' with costs reaching as high as £97 per game.
