Fiona Campbell, CEO of the Association of Scotland's Self-Caterers, cautioned against hasty implementation, citing Edinburgh's experience with a similar tax.

City councillor Richard Bell, however, expressed his eagerness to implement the tax swiftly, emphasizing the absence of evidence suggesting a negative impact on tourism numbers based on research by the Scottish Government and Edinburgh University.
