Wataru Endo is set to join Liverpool and he has already received high praise from Germany head coach Hansi Flick
Germany manager Hansi Flick has previously described Liverpool-bound midfielder Wataru Endo as one of the Bundesliga's very best.
VfB Stuttgart are set to pocket a fee in the region of £16m after allowing the Japan international to fly to England for a medical. The move will see the Bundesliga side lose their captain on the eve of the upcoming campaign, as they host VfL Bochum this weekend. Endo had the armband during the most recent FIFA World Cup in Qatar. During the tournament, Japan pulled off one of the great shocks after beating Germany, as well as Spain, that helped them through to the knockout stages.
Among the Japan squad that night was Endo, Daichi Kamara - formerly of Eintracht Frankfurt - Ritsu Doan and former Liverpool attacker Takumi Minamino.
