The next Helldivers 2 Warbond is on track for release, despite the team's focus on the mid-October update. Separate teams handle balancing and Warbond development, ensuring the new content arrives on schedule, potentially in mid-October.
The next Helldivers 2 Warbond is expected to drop soon, and the good news is that it isn’t delayed despite Arrowhead explicitly focusing on improving performance. The next HD2 update is officially confirmed for mid-October, and we can see from SteamDB that Arrowhead is making a lot of changes in preparation for the patch’s release.
While we know we finally have an update set to drop next week, it’s possible we could also be getting a new Warbond, or at least soon after. New Helldivers 2 Warbond isn’t delayed On the official Helldivers Discord, one of Arrowhead’s community managers, miitchimus, was asked if the “schedule of the next Warbond has been delayed” due to heavy focus on the mid-October update, “Or are you guys able to keep new content while working on updates”. In response, mittchimus clarified that “Its separate teams doing balancing and Warbonds”. This means the next bundle shouldn’t be delayed as the Warbonds team isn’t working on the balancing improvements and fixes set to arrive in next week’s patch. There’s no official release date for the next Warbond, but Arrowhead typically releases them every five-to-seven weeks. For this year alone, Servants of Freedom came out on February 6th before Borderline Justice came out on March 20th. Masters of Ceremony took longer than usual as it arrived on May 15th, but then Force of Law came out on June 12th followed by Control Group on July 17th. Dust Devils was then released seven weeks later on September 4th, and that’s the last Warbond we received. Assuming the next Warbond comes out within seven weeks, it should drop on either October 16th or 23rd. Usually the next Warbond is announced one week in advance, but we will have to wait and see. As for the next update, it’s confirmed for mid-October, and patches typically drop on Tuesday pointing to the likelihood of October 14th. There are performance fixes and balance improvements promised for the update, along with the return of Leviathans.
