Naga chillis were once marked as the hottest in the world with a rating of 1,382,118 Scoville heat units

To celebrate National Curry Week, the supermarket giant decided to test shoppers' pain threshold with a brand-new ready meal that will leave most sweating. The Fiery Hot Chicken Tikka Masala is branded as the store's "hottest ever curry" due to the presence of one of the world's most notorious chillis, the naga chilli.

There's also a considerable difference between what's hot and what's spicy. Hot food will envelop your mouth and throat, making it difficult to breathe and oftentimes resulting in sweating, due to the amount of pepper, whereas spice lingers on the tongue and is more common in chillis and hot sauces thanks to a mix of, you guessed it, spices.

The first bite is never telling of just how hot a meal will be. The tikka masala bodied this sentiment as after a few seconds there was no kick. A second bite of the chicken, which was beautifully tender and broke apart seamlessly, unleashed the beast. The naga chillis were in full effect.
