Autumn is the best time of year to treat yourself as you rely on all those tasty seasonal snacks and toasty beverages to help warm you up as the last of summer's warmth disappears and the weather turns colder.
I ordered almost all the autumn items but was disappointed that my local Greggs was out of the new Mexican Spicy Cheese Flatbread — it must be good if it was sold out by 9am. However, I was glad that the new breakfast sandwich was in stock, maybe because you can now order a big breakfast sandwich at any time of the day rather than having to rush out to get it before 11am.All Day Breakfast Sandwich - £4.
Orange Hot Chocolate - £3.10 I am a big hot chocolate lover and always look forward to having a chocolate orange in my stocking at Christmas time, so I was shocked when I did not like this drink. It only had a slight orange flavour but tasted far too sweet. I took a few sips of this before deciding it was not for me.
The doughnut was fluffy and incredibly satisfying — you could taste the cinnamon without it being overpowering. If you are someone who usually orders the caramel custard doughnut at Greggs or enjoys caramel-flavoured treats then I think you will really enjoy this doughnut. I ended up eating it with the Greggs pumpkin spice latte so I highly recommend ordering both together as it was the best treat to have to warm me up in a cold Scottish morning.
