Coronation Street 's Bernie Winter, played by the talented Jane Hazlegrove, might have had a string of bad luck when it comes to romance on the cobbles, but away from the drama of Weatherfield, her love life couldn't be more different. Bernie has been through the wringer lately in the soap, dealing with the tragic loss of her son Paul Foreman after his fight with MND . Viewers were moved as Paul was diagnosed last year and recently witnessed his poignant final moments on the show.
Her most recent appearance was in 2020 as Jean Rawson, before that she played a barrister in Simon McManus' trial in 2018, and earlier, in 2014, she appeared as Dr Lane. EastEnders enthusiasts may recall her role as Sadie Banks, and she's also known for bringing voices to life in the Harry Potter series. Elsewhere on the telly, Jane has appeared in acclaimed series like London's Burning, The Bill, Doctors, and Holby City prior to her arrival on the cobbles of Coronation Street .
