Comedian Janey Godley will have a final farewell tour of Edinburgh, accompanied by a 100-strong female choir, before her return to Glasgow. The event is scheduled for Friday, November 29, and will end with a service on St Andrew's Day at St Mary’s Cathedral in Glasgow.
Janey Godley , the beloved Edinburgh -based comedian who passed away on November 2, will have a final send-off on Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30. The procession will start at Lawnmarket at 2:30 pm, with a 100-strong female choir singing tributes as the hearse travels down The Royal Mile towards St Giles Cathedral , where it will pause for reflection. After the tour of Edinburgh , the hearse will proceed to Glasgow.
A St Andrew's Day service will also be held at St Mary’s Cathedral on Saturday morning
