Debbie Duncan, the mother of missing teenager Jay Slater, has shared a new update with fundraisers
The mother of missing teen Jay Slater has revealed that funds from her son's GoFundMe page, which has exceeded £36,000 in donations, are now being withdrawn.
The distraught mum continued to say that the money raised for the fundraiser, named "Get Jay Slater home", will be used to aid mountain rescue teams who are "tirelessly searching for Jay", she added.The GoFundMe page was set up by Jay's close pal, Lucy Mae Law, with an intial target of £30,000.
In her statment, Debbie added: "We are currently liaising with GoFundMe to withdraw part of the funds, which are being securely held. I wanted to share that these funds will be used to support the mountain rescue teams who are tirelessly searching for Jay."
