The latest twist came after Jenas was live on talkSPORT's Drivetime show
The career of Jermaine Jenas is in the spotlight following his dismissal by the BBC amid allegations of misconduct. Jenas, a prominent pundit on Match of the Day and The One Show, has also been axed from his talkSPORT duties.
A spokesperson from talkSPORT later confirmed that Jenas would no longer feature on their shows, saying: "We were made aware of a breaking news story involving Jermaine Jenas as he went on air for a one-off presenting slot on talkSPORT Drive. We made a decision - with Jermaine - that he should continue to present the show.
Post-show, Jenas expressed his discontent, saying: "Right now I can't talk about it. I can tell you I'm not happy - there are two sides to every story - and I'm going to be speaking with my lawyers on the issue," reports the Mirror. It's been reported that the BBC began an investigation after receiving a complaint about text messages Jenas is alleged to have sent. At 3.39pm on Thursday, Director of Sport Alex Kay-Jelski informed staff in an email: "I wanted to let you know that Jermaine Jenas is no longer working for the BBC."
