The inside track on the football stories that matter
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has claimed he expects Man City to “give in” and loan Kalvin Phillips to the Merseysiders., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – insisted City will want a January sale, which is something Everton “can’t afford”.
Both Everton and Aston Villa have been keeping an eye on the midfielder, but sources say a loan move would be the preferred option for both clubs.
