A corner of Lancashire has been named the happiest place to live in the UK, according to a survey. The spot came first in a survey based on categories such as green spaces, weekly earnings, crime, and unemployment rates. Ribble Valley, with its low crime rate and abundance of green and blue spaces, scored the highest in the study.

Residents also enjoy one of the highest weekly earning rates (£825) in the top 10 and the lowest unemployment rate of 1.
