The children are said to be 'over the moon'
An ex-rugby player has organised a trip for 52 underprivileged and disabled children. Michael ‘Mickii’ Edwards from Great Harwood will be taking youngsters across Hyndburn, Blackburn and beyond to Alton Towers on Sunday, July 28.
“They just don’t get this opportunity much. We are taking children in wheelchairs, foster children and carers who look after their sick mums and dads. He has organised more than 70 adventures for children for more than a decade, including trips to Warner Bros Harry Potter Studios and Gulliver’s World. Mickii also took 70 underprivileged children, including Ukrainian refugees on a dream trip to Disneyland Paris last year.
