Leeds United eased past Plymouth 3-0
Leeds United sit second in the Championship after beating Plymouth Argyle in comfortable fashion on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Dan James, Joel Piroe and Brenden Aaronson put Daniel Farke's men 3-0 up at the end of a one-sided first half at Elland Road, and while that was it for the goal scoring, the win was never in doubt as Leeds cruised to victory. "Despite failing to score after the break, Farke's side were good value for a thumping win but for half an hour they were left frustrated by Plymouth's stubbornness, despite dominating possession from the outset. It needed Wales winger James to find the top corner with a superb right-foot shot which flew into the top corner from 25 yards in the 30th minute.
"First Dan James fired into the top corner from the edge of the box, Joel Piroe slipped in a second just two minutes later before Brenden Aaronson calmly slotted in the third. Argyle changed their shape at the break as they went to a back four, and while they kept Leeds out they failed to register a shot in the entire game.
