Heather Willis, a beloved mother of four from Lisburn, passed away unexpectedly in hospital following a hip replacement surgery. Her death has sent shockwaves through the local community, prompting an outpouring of tributes from friends, family, and organizations.

A Lisburn woman who tragically died suddenly in hospital following a hip replacement surgery has been remembered as a 'beautiful young mum, sister, and aunty'. Heather Willis sadly passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday. Tributes have been pouring in for the mother of four, whose unexpected death has deeply shaken the entire community. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held in Lagan Valley Vineyard Church on Tuesday for the mother of four.

The Church, in a statement on social media, described her as a 'cherished part of the Lagan Valley Vineyard family,' alongside her husband and four children. 'Please hold the Willis family, as well as Heather's wider family, in your hearts and prayers over the coming days,' the Church said. 'At times like these, we are reminded in the starkest of ways that death, mourning, crying, and pain are inevitable - but they are not eternal. In the midst of our grief and unanswered questions we look forward with faith, hope, and love to the day when God will make everything new. 'In light of this news, we will be postponing the commissioning of Wellspring Vineyard Banbridge until Sunday 2nd March.' Local DUP MP Carla Lockhart also paid tribute to Heather, writing on social media: 'There are just no words. A beautiful young mum, sister and aunty. The news of Heather’s passing really has rocked the entire community but none more so than her wee family. I just feel devastated for her husband, kids and her loving sisters.' She added: 'I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know this family circle in recent years and honestly just broken for them. Praying God will undertake and carry them through the dark valley ahead.' Lisnagarvey Hockey club also paid tribute, outlining their plan to observe a minute's silence. 'Heather was a fantastic coach and volunteer of our P7 girls and mother of two of our youth members,' a club spokesperson said. 'On behalf of the whole Garvey community, we send our heartfelt condolences to the entire Willis family at this difficult time.
