Bobby Clark is closing in on a Liverpool exit after a deal was agreed with Red Bull Salzburg
While Liverpool are yet to sign a player this summer, after being rejected by Martin Zubimendi at the start of the week, it is inevitably a different story around the rest of the Premier League . Ahead of the new season getting underway on Friday night, the Reds remain the only side in the English top-flight to add to their squad. Admittedly, some have been busier than others, with title-rivals Arsenal and Man City navigating relatively quiet summers on the incoming front so far.
Clark and Doak’s exits would be the most controversial, with the pair regarded as two of the club’s most talented academy stars. However, Liverpool are seemingly putting themselves in a position where they could follow Aston Villa’s lead. The ECHO understands that the Reds boast both a 17.5% sell-on clause and a buy back option in the deal taking Clark to Austria. It would be a surprise if similar clauses were not inserted in any permanent exit for Doak.
