Train drivers working for LNER are poised to launch a prolonged strike campaign, citing a collapse in working relations and the breaking of agreements.
LNER is responsible for operating the East Coast main line passenger service that spans between London and Edinburgh. According to Aslef, they have experienced poor industrial relations, "bullying" by the management team, and consistent "persistent breaking" of agreements by LNER. "We would much rather not be here but the company has brutally, and repeatedly, broken diagramming and roster agreements, failed to adhere to the agreed bargaining machinery, and totally acted in bad faith.
