Emergency services are attending a multi-vehicle accident on the M65 Eastbound between junctions 2 and 3. The carriageway is blocked, causing severe delays of up to 29 minutes with an average speed of only 5 mph.
Emergency services are at the scene between J2 for Clayton Brook and J3 for Blackburn West/Wheelton. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reports the eastbound carriageway has been blocked since around 9.15am.
There are 'severe delays' due to the accident. No details have been released about the number of vehicles involved.
