Cops raced to a major incident on Glasgow Road, Paisley on Monday afternoon.
A man has been arrested after two police officers were injured after reportedly being 'chased with a chainsaw' in Paisley.
Residents said a flurry of marked and unmarked police cars appeared within seconds of the alarm being raised. A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. A source from within the force said: "Officers were driving down Glasgow Road when a black car smashed into them."They got out of their cars to try and work out what's happened, next thing they know they are faced with a chainsaw.
