An 85-year-old pedestrian named John Allan died in hospital after a collision with a Toyota Corolla on Beith Road in Johnstone.
A man has died in hospital two days after a road crash in Johnstone on Sunday, December 29. The crash happened at around 8.30am on Beith Road in Johnstone and involved a red Toyota Corolla and a pedestrian. The 85-year-old pedestrian who was injured as a result of the crash, died at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on Tuesday, 31 December. He has now been named as John Allan. Police enquiries continue with anyone with information or dashcam footage asked to come forward.
Sergeant Paul Mellis of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with John’s family and friends at this very difficult time. “Enquiries into the crash are continuing. I would appeal to anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact us through 101 quoting incident number 0814 of 29 December, 2024.
