The country is perfect if you're looking for an alternative to traditional tourist destinations
Manchester Airport has announced a new direct route to one of Europe’s smallest countries. Luxair has now launched flights between Manchester and Luxembourg.
Announcing the route this week on X, formerly known as Twitter, Manchester Airport said: “@LuxairAirlines have officially landed at @manairport and are ready to whisk you away to #Luxembourg up to 3x weekly! T1 was buzzing with excitement, as passengers were greeted with balloons, light refreshments, cake and football scarves.”Surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany, Luxembourg is the seventh smallest country in Europe, covering an area of 2,586 square kilometres.
Thanks to its compact size the city is easy to navigate and walkable. It’s actually split over two levels with ‘the Corniche’ offering spectacular views across the city and of the river that flows through it.
