The new route will operate four times a week
The service, operated by Eurowings, will run four times a week on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays. Owned by Lufthansa, Eurowings is a budget airline specialising in low-cost flights within Europe.
In addition to the Hamburg route, Eurowings will also operate three flights a week from Manchester to Stuttgart. This expansion comes as Germany gears up to host the UEFA European Championships this summer. England's subsequent knock-out games could take them to other cities across Germany, including Stuttgart, Hamburg and Munich all of which have direct flights from Manchester Airport.
