A John Marquis goal either side of half-time was enough to earn Shrewsbury Town victory in their cross-border derby with Wrexham. Lloyd almost restored the hosts' lead with a header on 45 minutes, and down the other end Ollie Rathbone followed suit before the break. The Welsh side were almost level for a second time with 10 minutes to play, as another excellent cross from Barnett was met by Paul Mullin, but two excellent blocks and a Jamal Blackman save later and the danger was averted.
