The author and presenter shared how a form of fasting can help people achieve rapid weight loss.
Diet expert Michael Mosley champions intermittent fasting to losing weight fast, but there are many ways to go about it.
The 12:12 rule is one TRE method that sees slimmers eat in a 12 hour period and then fast for another 12. You can make this easier by fasting overnight, according to Michael, by eating your last meal at 8pm and having breakfast at 8am the following day. How does the 12:12 rule work? Fasting can help with weight management and reap other benefits. Most people tend to eat around 15 hours a day, which reportedly doesn't leave enough time for cells to repair and could lead to long-term health problems and physiological stress.
Although this plan doesn't count calories, it's important to make sure you're having nutritious and filling foods so that you won't be tempted to break your fast too soon. Consuming plenty of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals will also help to repair the pathways in your body that fasting triggers.
