UPDATE: Mobile police have arrested Walter Fantroy Jr., 64, of Mobile, and charged him first-degree assault in connection with this July 9 shooting. Records show he was booked into Mobile County Metro Jail on Friday.It happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. Officers responded to Creek Street between Pinehill Drive and Morgan Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered a 38-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

“So I was here watching TV and I heard two gunshots, and someone screaming over there,” said Robert Puett. “I couldn’t really see over there because of the curtain, and I wasn’t coming outside till the cops showed up. And then I saw two people, I guess running up to assist him.
