'Part of me went with Layton the day he died'
The mum of a "much loved little boy" who died in a collision in Penwortham has paid an emotional tribute to him.
It was reported that Layton was playing outside his home when the tragedy occurred, with air ambulances landing in the fields close-by to attend to the scene. He very sadly died in hospital a short time later.In a tribute released through Lancashire Constabulary today , his mum Stacey said: "Layton was a much loved little boy by all who knew him. He was my world and my best friend."He was the most energetic, happiest boy you would ever meet.
"Myself and his carers would like to grieve in peace now as we try to come to terms with what has happened. RIP my beautiful baby boy, you will never be forgotten."
