Aberdeen Airport has been forced to halt all flights due to a major power outage affecting the Aberdeenshire area. Passengers are advised to expect delays as engineers work to restore power. The outage, first reported at 4.08pm on Saturday, has impacted a large area of Dyce, including the airport.

Flights travelling to and from the airport have been halted. Staff have warned passengers to expect delays as there will be no arrivals or departures in the immediate future.

A total of 169 homes are currently affected. Engineers from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks are currently working to repair the failure. “Our engineers are in your local area and working hard to get your power restored as soon as possible.”
