Queen Camilla has joined Princess Catherine’s friend Lady Rose Hanbury at the Badminton Horse Trials just months after Lady Hanbury was accused of being Prince William’s “other woman”.
The English aristocrat at the centre of hurtful rumours about Prince William and Princess Catherine’s marriage has returned to public life and joined Queen Camilla at a major royal event.
The annual trials attract a who’s who of royals and aristocrats as spectators, while King Charles’s niece Zara Tindall, an Olympic silver-medallist, competed in the trials herself. Allegations that William had engaged in an affair with Rose, who is a neighbour of the Wales’ in Norfolk and lives in Houghton Hall close to Sandringham, first appeared in the British media several years ago in 2019.
