Creamfields and Liverpool Celebrates Mathew Street both take place this weekend
Two major festivals will see road closures and delays in place as people celebrate the bank holiday weekend. Creamfields returns to Daresbury from Thursday, August 22, until Sunday, August 25, while the revival of the Mathew Street festival takes place from Friday, August 23, until Monday, August 26. Liverpool Celebrates Mathew Street will see the Pier Hea d transformed once again into a concert venue.
Creamfields sees major diversions in an attempt to ease the thousands attending the festival. Both events will have a knock-on effect on motorists travelling around the city centre and along the A56. Below are the road closures and delays for the August bank holiday weekend. Canada Boulevard from its junction with Brunswick Street to its northern extremity will be closed until August 28.
