Sam Fender cancels final UK and Ireland tour dates due to vocal hemorrhage, leaving fans heartbroken.
Sam Fender has cancelled his final two 2024 tour dates in Glasgow and Newcastle after he haemorrhaged his right vocal chord. The singer, who was due to perform at OVO Hydro, Glasgow on December 17 and Utilita Arena in Newcastle on December 20, announced the cancellation on his Instagram story. 'Glasgow and Newcastle, as most of you know I’ve had the flu for a few days now.
Regardless of how compromised my voice was I did everything I could to get it in working order last night to put on the best show possible', he wrote. 'Today I’ve had an ENT scope/camera down my throat and sadly I’ve haemorrhaged my right vocal chord, I’m absolutely heartbroken.' The 30-year-old singer said he had been advised by doctors that performing could cause 'lasting damage' to his voice. 'I’ve done everything but the book this tour living like a monk, it’s so unlucky. I’m so, so sorry to all of you who are on your way tonight. We’re trying to figure out a way to reschedule for you all, more news soon.', he concluded. Fender's tour, People Watching, has been a huge success so far, with the singer performing to thousands across the country this month. He announced his tour in October with chaos ensuing for his huge fanbase to get their hands on a coveted ticket
