Filipino darts player Sandro Eric Sosing was hospitalized after withdrawing from his World Darts Championship match due to chest pains. He reported numbness and muscle pains while practicing and was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS). Sosing is receiving treatment and thanked everyone for their well wishes.
The Professional Darts Corporation confirmed Sandro Eric Sosing remains in hospital after he withdrew from his World Darts Championship match due to chest pains.However, the PDC state the Filipino star 'reported numbness and muscle pains' while practicing and was attended to by medical staff.The PDC then gave an update on Sosing's health on Sunday.
"He has subsequently undergone neurological assessment and been diagnosed with having GBS Guillain-Barre syndrome."Sandro would like to thank everyone who has enquired after his wellbeing for their well wishes and kind messages.
Sosing was due to make his second appearance at the World Darts Championship having qualified through the PDC Asian Championship. After the Filipino was forced to withdraw, his compatriot Paolo Nebrida paid tribute to him on Sunday.
