The UK is set to be gripped by an Arctic blast in the coming days, with temperatures set to plummet by as much as 9C with Brits bracing for a cold snap.
Forecasters have warned that temperatures are expected to plummet by around 9C in the coming week as an arctic blast grips the UK, with areas of Scotland to be hit.
A shift in wind direction and speed means that significantly cooler air from the Arctic will make its presence felt. Dundee and Glasgow are recorded to hit one of the lowest in the country at a chilling 6C, whilst the village of Tarbet is expected to reach 5C. "Some fog is also possible, this slow to clear. Later next week, it looks like turning more unsettled for a time, with some rain or showers, particularly towards the east."
