Forecasters predict the wintry chill will veer back into sunnier and warmer autumnal conditions next week.
A cold snap this weekend that could bring the Scotland's first snow will shift to 'steadily climbing' temperatures next week.
As reported by the Mirror, the meteorologist said: "Through next week, high pressure will be with us at first. That rather chilly air in place. But it looks likely that high pressure will tend to slip its way eastwards, low pressure trying to slip its way in from the Atlantic and a change in the wind direction again.
It comes after the Met Office said the UK is set to see the "first signs of winter". The national forecaster also says snow will fall amid sleety showers on higher ground across Scotland on Saturday afternoon as temperatures plummet.
