Footwear shop Sneakrverse on Bridlesmith Gate closed in recent weeks
A Nottingham city centre shop closed after being searched by police as part of an investigation into money laundering. Footwear shop Sneakrverse on Bridlesmith Gate, which opened in April 2021, closed in recent weeks without explanation.
They arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of cheating the public revenue and money laundering, who was later bailed while investigations continue. Investigators also searched addresses in Westminster Close, St Ann's, and Oakwood, Derby.Detective Inspector Pam Dawson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Officers from the Financial Investigation Unit executed a warrant at a business address in Bridlesmith Gate, Nottingham, on Wednesday, August 9.
