James Singleton is confident Glentoran can turn their fortunes around this season
James Singleton has offered an insight into Glentoran's new approach this season and claims Declan Devine's squad is the "fittest we've ever been".
"To get back to where we want to be, it's going to take pure, hard work. My first season at the club, I remember everyone saying we were going to win the league. Then things started to unravel," Singleton said. "If you add that in with hard work, and performing on a Saturday, then things can only get better. Maybe that's something we didn't do as well last season."
"We talked about fans, and that's the good thing about Glentoran. If you're not playing well, the fans will give you a kick up the backside. It's whether you can deal with that. "They are just promoted and will be determined to make a mark. They lost their opening game, like we did, so both teams will want to pick up their first points on Saturday.
