Peel Waters is looking for 'global hotel operators' to bring forward the first development

Property giant Peel Waters is behind the Liverpool Waters project, which is a 30-year regeneration plan for the city's waterfront and its northern docks. It has unveiled two development sites at Princes Dock in Liverpool city centre and is actively seeking global hotel operators to bring forward the first of these developments.

The first site plot - named A07 - is an opportunity for a global hotel operator to purchase a freehold plot with access and outline planning already secured for hotel use. The site, originally earmarked by Liverpool City Council for the ‘Liverpool Cruise Liner Hotel’ project, is adjacent to the Isle of Man ferry terminal and a short walk from the new Everton stadium.

The two new developments will join the Princes Dock neighbourhood, which is home to cafes, bars, restaurants and hotels, sitting alongside residential buildings and 200,000 sq ft of commercial space. Visitors to Princes Dock can also take part in open water swimming, scuba diving, canoeing, dragon boat racing and, soon, the UK’s first public floating sauna.

“Our masterplan for Liverpool Waters supports the opportunity for at least two new waterfront hotels to accommodate the growing number of tourists and so we are now actively looking for a hotel operator to develop this first prime waterfront site.
