Forecasters have mixed predictions for the last week of the month.
Scotland is set to be covered by snow new weather maps indicate widespread flurries starting later tonight.
At the same time, data shows temperatures across central Scotland plummeting to -2C, reaching a max of 2C as the day goes on. The north will be slightly higher with max temperatures set to hit 4C. Meanwhile, BBC Scotland's Calum MacColl reported: "Into this evening clear and cold in the north with a widespread frost. Thickening cloud layers in central and southern Scotland, with the arrival at around midnight of some rain, sleet and upland snow, which will spread bodily northwards - and in the Highlands as it arrives here some snow at inland levels for a time."
"It will also become less windy, and temperatures should start to trend upwards, feeling quite warm in any sunshine.”
