Stormy weather is expected to bring flooding and disruption to transport across Lancashire and the rest of the UK on Monday (January 27). Wind gusts could reach over 40mph in Lancashire, and a number of yellow wind and rain warnings are in place across parts of the UK. Lancashire continued to face disruption over the weekend following strong winds brought in by Storm Eowyn.
Stormy weather is bringing the threat of flooding and more disruption to transport across Lancashire and the rest of the country on Monday .
Multiple train services were cancelled north of Preston and Carlisle, causing travel issues across the north and Scotland. This morning, a landslip near Darwen has blocked the train line between Blackburn and Darwen. Met Office meteorologist Marco Petagna said: "Things are going to stay unsettled in the next few days. We’re getting successive spells of wet and windy weather, which is obviously adding to impacts."
