Hail and damaging winds greatest threat, localized flooding potential
It’s that time of year. We are now in the heart of severe weather season and the pattern Wednesday, May 1, lends itself to a threat of at least a few strong storms. Here’s what to look for:Ripples of energy in the upper part of the atmosphere will pass overhead Wednesday, producing scattered storms.Any storms that become severe would primarily be capable of large hail and damaging winds. There is a low, but still non-zero, chance for a tornado.
