The Fir Park boss hopes his side can follow the blueprint of another Premiership side.
Stuart Kettlewell insists his spying mission to watch Kilmarnock crack Celtic’s code can become his own blueprint for success on Saturday.
“Towards the end of the week we’ll start to put together roughly what we think their team will be but it’s hard when they have so many options. We just try to look at their traits and principles of play to see how we can counteract those and how we can impose ourselves and create chances of our own. The Light Blues also lost at Kilmarnock in the opening day of the Premiership campaign three months ago and the Well gaffer is adamant clubs can take a lead from the Ayrshire side if all the moons align and a gameplan is carried out to perfection when confronting the big two.
!I was at Ibrox when Rangers played Real Betis and, in the last 10 minutes of the first half the team really clicked into gear and, when that happened, the supporters really got on their side. They were massively behind them after that and I felt that was a driving force for them to go and get the victory.”
Kettlewell believes the Old Firm can inject moments of inspiration into a game which can be beyond any opponent’s control and he points to a sweeping Rangers attack last weekend which changed the mood music at the drop of a shoulder or second of brilliance.
