A Scottish town has been named one of the best in the UK for a rainy day
Oban in Argyll and Bute was named one of seven towns across the nation that "look just as good when it pours" by the newspaper. The resort town is popular amongst tourists for its coastal views, as well as attractions such as the Oban War & Peace Museum and McCaig's Tower.
If you are headed to Oban Distillery, the publication recommends either a guided tour with a single dram tasting or the 'Oban Chocolate Experience'. This combines four tastings with delicious chocolate courtesy of the Oban Chocolate Company. For those who don't mind getting a little wet, there are also numerous scenic walking and hiking trails in the area. You can even catch a ferry to the islands for a day-trip if you're feeling adventurous.
