None of Lancashire's ten bathing spots achieved an 'excellent' rating
The UK boasts some of Europe's most stunning beaches, from the golden sands of Cornwall to Scotland's rugged coastlines.
Drawing on data from the Environment Agency, the travel site pinpointed 13 beaches - including two in Lancashire - that received a 'poor' rating for water quality, dubbing them 'Brown Flag' winners, reports the Express. Both Blackpool North and St Annes North were given 'poor' scores, reinforcing concerns about water safety in the region. According to the research, the following seaside spots have been flagged for having the worst water quality in the UK:
