The Argentinian thought he'd given the Red Devils the lead against the Seagulls
Manchester United will leave the Amex Stadium this afternoon wondering what might of been had VAR not chalked off Alexandro Garnacho's strike in the 70th minute.. The Red Devils were beaten 2-1 by Fabian Hurzeler's Brighton side with Joao Pedro scoring at the death to maintain their impressive start to the campaign.
Garnacho was lurking at the far post and managed to get on the end of the cross and send the ball goal-bound. Unfortunately for United, the ball deflected off the Dutch striker on its way into the net, just inches away from the line.READ MORE: Vincent Kompany responds to 'stupid' Matthijs de Ligt theory after Manchester United transfer
Both teams were pushing for a late winner but it was the hosts who snatched all three points. Simon Adingra was slipped into the box down the left, picking out Pedro at the far post to break the deadlock in the 95th minute to break United hearts.
