There has been a 15% increase in people withdrawing cash as people use 'real money' in cost of living crisis
Cash s being used by millions in savings challenges to help them hack the cost-of-living, according to new research. Research from the Post Office reveals that 1 in 5 in the UK are using ‘cash hacks’ to help save money.
Post Office’s cash tracker data shows more people are using cash with a 15% rise in cash withdrawals year-on-year, and 3.6% rise from January. According to social media money expert Mrs Mummypenny, also known as Lynn Beattie, resourceful ways to watch the pennies have never been more popular. “Savings challenges are a lot of fun and can generate huge amounts of savings by the end of the challenge, from the daily 1p challenge to the 100-envelope challenge, choose one that suits you. Or go back to basics and save your £2 coins or 50p in a money jar, bag it up and take it to your local post office every few months to pay into your savings account.”
